Sajama is the highest peak in Bolivia. The mountain is located in Sajama National Park in the southwest area of the country near the border with Chile. Established as a natural reserve in 1939, Sajama National Park has been home to Bolivia’s Aymara people for thousands of years. Unique artifacts, age-old burial sites, cave paintings, small adobe churches and mysterious lines dot the otherworldly landscape.
